I was wondering if things like getting surgery are against God's will? As of now, I've been struggling with accepting my crooked nose. But subconsciously it doesn't feel right to alter my physical body. I have had braces for my teeth in the past and now I'm wondering how is that any different from any sort of other physical enhancement?

Is it wrong to wish to correct notable physical deformities?

Not sure how others will respond, but i think its fine. Some might say its not part of the 5 ks or might twist thr 5ks to say u shouldn't. But lets say u got burned badly and your nose all but gone. Could u have surgery then? Or accept it because as some older generations might say "its God's work". My advice, and would say applies to life...do what makes you happy , as long as it directly doesnt bring harm to others. People will hate n be unhappy with your choices. You will never make everyone, so why make yourself unhappy along the way. Good luck and hope procedure goes well if you go for it

Getting surgery is not against Gods will if for a good reason. Getting braces prevents problems with your teeth when you're older so it fine to get braces. Your nose is probably fine and when you get older you will probably accept it, don't do unnecessary surgery it might cause more damage to you.
