I am a Sikh, but I want you to consider Bill Gates for a second. Bill Gates has donated billions upon billions of dollars trying to fight diseases. He has eradicated Polio and he wants to eradicate Malaria in 20 years. He has saved the lives of millions of people, but he is an Atheist and does not believe in god. He is a good person though, so how will god judge him, and all those who are good people but refuse to believe in god? Thanks in advance.
This question shows a very old fashioned way of thinking. "Belief" in God comes in many ways. The old image of God as a wise old white bearded guy up in the sky is just a fantasy. God is the One in everyone. He-She-It is the life force that manifests the multi-verse. A mathematician sees God in mathematics. A musician hears God in music. A biologist sees God in the nucleus of every cell. They just don't use the word "God."
Some of the most deeply spiritual I know might be called "atheists." I think they apply that word to themselves, sometimes, if asked, because they also know that the Judeo-Christian image of the old guy in the sky is absurd.
God doesn't judge anyone. We actually judge ourselves in the eye of our own destiny, the karmas we have created and whether or not we lived our Dharma.
ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆ ਵਾਚੈ ਧਰਮੁ ਹਦੂਰਿ ॥ ਕਰਮੀ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਕੇ ਨੇੜੈ ਕੇ ਦੂਰਿ ॥
We must judge the results of our own actions. By our actions we live near or far.
