Nearby my home here's a gurudwara sahib . Every saturday , programme is held of katha and naam simran. But few days ago some members of gurudwara decided not to do katha and restrict jathedars to do so. They refused to do programme. Even. A photo of baba shri chand ji is also placed in darbaar . Isn' t it wrong??. Some people bow to baba shri chand ji which is unbearable for me. What should i do??

It sounds like there is a lot going on at the Gurdwara Sahib. Is there someone that you can speak to? Or maybe a few Gurmukhs can get together and talk to the committee, or figure out how to resolve this conflict peacefully regarding the restriction of katha. I think it is really good that you are thinking about how, as a member of the sangat, you can help to resolve this. In regards to the Baba Siri Chand, I agree with your comment that we bow our heads to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji only and should connect ourselves with the shabad of Guru. Idol worship is not a part of Sikhi. I have never seen anything like that happen at the Gurdwara Sahib so I’m not sure what you can do. In most scenarios rather than pushing other people, or creating drastic change, what we can do is peacefully educate them.

Baba Sri Chand Ji was the son of Guru Nanak, so Sikhs ought to have respect for the Babaji. Above, you mentioned some people bow to Babaji which is unbearable for me. Now, this clearly shows that you are a radical Sikh The basic principles of Sikhism teaches us that we must be of tolerant nature towards others. Even our Gurus used to respect Baba Sri Chand Ji.

I have few questions for you, does the Sikh Rehat Maryada says, that Sikhs must not bow before Sri Chand Ji or Lakhmi Chand Ji?

Has Akal Takhat ever issued Hukumnama prohibiting the Sikh community from worshiping Baba Sri Chand Ji?

I am so sorry to being like this but some amritdhari sikhs told me that we should respect guru's son but bow ahead only guru granth sahib ji. Secondly, bowing toward pictures of gurus and their sons is not approved by guru granth sahib ji. We should connect ourselves with the shabad of guru

I am so sorry if i am wrong . But i dont think its correct to place picture of any person or mahapurush where guru granth sahib ji is there and i heartly respect my gurus

You said, it's not correct to place picture of any person or Mahapurush. O.K then why do Sikhs worship Baba Nand Singh Ji, Baba Deep Singh Ji. Sikhs bow before them too. In Gurdwaras, where SGGS Ji is placed, pictures of Nand Babaji and Deep Babaji is also placed. So, whom will you blame?

The fact is if a Sikh is really genuine following the Rehat Maryada then rather than finding fault in others will try to find fault in himself/herself. Today, Sikhs living in Punjab and even outside are fighting amongst themselves involved in blaming each other. They are terribly terribly wrong.
