I am not sure about lottery but selling cigarettes is definitely against what you represent as a Sikh. I think with time you will get strength to look at other avenues. You should be happy that the Gurudwara declined your contribution. I believe most of them don't ask where the money is coming from. If you have a convenience store, you can stop keeping those items on sale.
