Shanti Kaur does a story on this on Sikhnet Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhiGo51WsTQ. She recalls how Guru Gobind Singh said the time and date of death is prewritten. This meant that when his soldiers went into battle, there was no reason for them to be afraid. Either that day was their day to die, or it wasn't. If they were supposed to die, it meant even if they ran from the battlefield, they would die perhaps in another situation. If it wasn't their day to die, there was no army that could stop them, even if they were 1 against 125 thousand. Blessings ji. :)
