Are you on any medications for the schizophrenia? Sometimes what can happen with that is that your brain is tricking you into thinking your reality is something it is not. So you think something is real, but it isn't real. So It may be your perception that you think that others are laughing about you, but they are laughing about something else for example. Diseases like schizophrenia make it especially difficult.

If indeed you are on treatment and feel that people are still laughing how about asking a family member what's going on when they are laughing, and telling them about your feeling that this is hurtful to you? That way your communication to them has been clear. It may be they aren't doing it intentionally.
